Coming up
This year is about expansion: more senior residences, and elementary schools outside our own district.
Villa Rancho Bernardo, returning
Going back to run training for new staff and refresh the caretakers we worked with last time, with updated material on the scams currently targeting older adults.
Remington House
A new residence for us. Staff training plus a copy of the Teaching Cyber Safety Instructional Guide for the team to keep.
More homes across the county
We are actively looking for additional senior living communities. If you run one or work at one, the workshop and the guide are free.
Schools outside Poway Unified
After our first assembly outside the district at Rowe Elementary, we are expanding into more schools in neighboring districts, prioritizing schools with no cybersecurity programming at all.

Library workshops and summer camps
Free and open to anyone. Our last camp drew participants from outside California entirely.

Introduction to Cybersecurity for upper elementary students, run as a large group assembly.
Monterey Ridge Elementary
Full assembly including the password wheel game and the live phishing demo.
Pomerado Elementary
Fourth and fifth grade classes, run back to back across the day.
Morning Creek Elementary
Interactive lesson built around Kahoot knowledge checks between sections.
Stone Ranch Elementary
Passwords, phishing, and malware basics with student led question and answer.
Turtleback Elementary
Hands on cyber hygiene practice and the ABCyber whole class game.
Rowe Elementary
Our first assembly outside Poway Unified, and the start of the push into neighboring districts.
4S Ranch Library
Open to any student who showed up. No school affiliation, no cost, no sign up.
Summer camp
Ran online and drew participants from outside California, which showed the curriculum is not tied to a local room.

Introduction to Cybersecurity adapted for staff supporting senior residents, plus the Teaching Cyber Safety guide.
Casa de las Campanas
The first session where we taught staff and residents together in the same room.
Senior community sessions
Booths and short drop in sessions at senior community events, so residents could get help without anyone having to book a workshop first.
Cybersecurity Expert Panel, Del Norte High School
Professionals from the FBI's San Diego field office, the defense industry, and a cybersecurity training company on threats, careers, and where the field is going.
